The Family MD Weight Loss & Wellness Program involves the following components:
I. MOTIVATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY for PERMANENT WEIGHT LOSS: involves realistic behavioral changes.
II. PHARMACOLOGICAL THERAPY: utilizes Apidex, phentermine, Didrex, Tenuate Dospan, Qsymia, Contrave, Belviq, and Wellbutrin as indicated for the patient’s needs.
  • Many of these medications can be used in combination for specific problems, i.e. weight gain associated with depression, craving, stress-related eating, binging, eating “for comfort”.
  • Obesity correlates strongly with chronic or intermittent insomnia. Treatment for insomnia should be a part of the treatment plan for obesity.
